Prop firm challenge planner
Prop firm challenges fail on the loss rules, not on the profit target. This planner turns the rules into a risk per trade and shows how many losing trades in a row would end the challenge.
Rates for pegged currencies are fixed. Edit the rate for others.

From the challenge rules, see the risk per trade that keeps you inside the daily and total drawdown limits and how many winning trades you need.
Risk per trade–
Winning trades needed–
Losing trades to breach daily limit–
Losing trades to breach total limit–
How to use it
- Enter the account size and the challenge rules: profit target, max daily loss and max total drawdown.
- Enter the risk per trade you intend to use and your average risk-to-reward.
- Check that several losses in a row fit inside the daily limit; if not, lower the risk.
Questions, answered plainly.
What risk per trade do most people use in a challenge?
Between 0.25% and 1%. With 1% risk and a 5% daily limit, five losses in a day fail the challenge.
Is the challenge fee halal?
Scholars differ on paying a fee for an evaluation with a chance of a funded account. Read our prop firm guide and ask your scholar.
Why does the daily limit matter more than the total?
Because it resets each day and is usually hit first, often by over-trading after a loss.
