Drawdown recovery
After a loss, the gain needed to recover is larger than the loss itself. This calculator shows exactly how much larger, which is why protecting capital matters more than chasing returns.
Rates for pegged currencies are fixed. Edit the rate for others.
Drawdown recovery
The gain you need to get back to where you were after a loss.
Gain needed to recover–
How to use it
- Enter the percentage of the account that was lost.
- Read the gain required to return to the original balance.
- Use it to set a daily or weekly loss limit before it hurts.
Questions, answered plainly.
Why is recovery harder than the loss?
Because the gain is measured on a smaller balance. Losing 20% leaves 80, and 80 needs 25% to reach 100 again.
What drawdown is acceptable?
Many professional traders stop for the day at 2% to 3% and for the month at 6% to 10%.
Does the robot have a loss limit?
Yes. The Tadawal Now Robot has a daily loss cap and a maximum open trades setting that you control.
